Best graphic card for 200-300 budget?

i ran my 1080p with my 4850 on max everything an it ran like a champ, so id think a 216 would be the sweet spot imo

1080P is 1920x1200.

And he has a 550W PSU. We don't know what brand so I'm assuming it's generic. There are 275s for $200 but I don't think they're worth it over the 216.
woops I keep getting it mixed up, its a 600 watt, by rose will. cost me about 100$ i think it should be good.
also, what would be good? im still getting confused by all the cards you guys mentioned, lol

I suppose. GTX 260 Core 216. Some brands call it the Core 216, some call it the GTX 260 BlackEdition OCX or something like that. Just be sure that the card has 216 shader cores.

Actually, 1080p is 1920x1080. 1920x1200 would still fall in the category, but would be a higher resolution, even if only by a little bit.
then iwould say the best you can do is a core 216 with that psu

If he has a decent one like a corsair, then he should be able to use a GTX280.

This is the card you want,

highest core clocked, and mem clocked as i see so u dont haveto overclock it yourself.

Don't go for the factory overclocked ones. You aren't actually getting anything better for the price, you're just paying for different settings you can do yourself. Also, for just a bit more you could get a 275 which would last longer getting good FPS.

just posted that one, becuase its factory overclocked, and ya u can get the same thing yourself with a cheeper card...but some people dont want to bother with self overclocking.

I would say a stock 275 will do fine. Evga is one of the few manufacturer's that could give a damn less if you overclock. They know you'll do it as much as you know you will. So they warranty you even for overclocking.
