They look nice, at the moment i've put a little line under each listing but i'm looking at a box of some kind

How about you switch over to another design completely? When I designed the blog, I used this theme as the base design. It's alright to use other people's design, as long as you modify them and credit the original author (make sure they allow their works to be freely distributed as well).

Always try to make something as original as you can.
