um sure this has been said before...

but whats the best way to apply Tx 3 to a quad core?

is it safe to do the 'pea' sized drop, and then push the HSF down onto the CPU and then bring it back up to make sure it covered the whole CPU chip, then put it back down again and secure it in place?

I put two uncooked rice pellet sized drops on my CPU, then take a plastic card, like a credit card, and smooth it over the whole cpu evenly. Not too much, just enough to cover with a light coating.

I would recommend the Arctic Silver 5 compound though, but that's my opinion :)

Thanks for the ideas Jiki and AR :)

and TX 3 isnt conductive and its thermal conductivness is highter then AS5

the TRUE is ugly IMO, and i dont have any more then 60 bucks for a cooler, and the V8 is also one of the top 10 coolers
