Spore issues

Hi, I tried to start spore, but got this

It started a few seconds after I screencapped, but all my saves were gone.

Anyone know how to resolve this?

Have you played the game with success before?
Possibly an update for the game that renders all old versions useless (unlikely)
Can your onboard video handle the game while other apps are open?
Have you restarted the computer to free up some RAM?

Yeah, tons of times. I haven't played in a month or so though.

Any hardware changes recently? Major software changes? Windows Updates? I see that the error is because of C++ which tells me...nothing.

I put in a new (well, old, its a 5200) graphics card in, thats all though. Should I try disabling it and using onboard?
