Ok, torrents are not piracy. They are only piracy if used for copyright infringement. Downloading a NON ACTIVATED version of windows 98 from a torrent and using a LEGITIMATE key is perfectly legal.

yea anyways, if you have bought an actual legit retail copy/product key, they will supply you with a disk for free i think, or some nominal charge

and i think (i may be wrong) that you can download 98 from their site...

just go to microsoft.com and call customer support

OK, I'm gonna give you a straight forward answer. Yes, the key will work fine with it, but if it's from a torrent, it likely has a crack included with it that you could use in place of it.
