Which Motherboard?

Which motherboard should I go with, out of http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-339-AS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1481 and http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-110-MS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1481 ?

It will be going with:

OCZ Intel Extreme XMP 4GB - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-116-OC
OCZ ModXStream Pro 500w - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-037-OC
AMD Phemom II 955 BE - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-244-AM

I will by buying this in aprox. 6 hours over the Overclockers UK counter, so It would be good if you could get back to me ASAP!

I'd go with the Asus because it has a better LAN Card and sound card than the MSI,Plus ths Asus has an external LCD Screen and some other mad features (Such as Onboard Power button and several Diag LED Lights) which the MSI doesnt have.

Plus 12 USB Ports,you can never have enough USB Ports

True. But I was read that the MSI actually has more features - Plus, I like MSI...

It has 4 PCI-E slots! Think of the possibility's... *drool*.

It's supposed to be a great Overclocker, too!

It also supports faster memory, however the Phenom II only supports 1333MHz... so IDK.

I would get the ASUS, it comes with a sound card that is better than onboard audio, plus what's the use of having 4 PCI-E x16 slots...? crossfire is a big enough hassle itsel, tri-fire and quad-fire would be absolutely retarded, especially considering the fact that most cards don't even scale very well in crossfire (and not at all in tri-fire and quad-fire), most people just get one powerful card or go with two powerful cards, paying extra for four PCI-E x16 slots is pretty much a waste when there will be no discernible difference because the human eye can't physically tell the difference between 60FPS and 120FPS...

personally I would go with the ASUS, but ultimately the choice is yours...

I got the MSI. I chose it because it was cheaper, had more SATA and USB ports, and because of some Forum posts I read that people in a similar situation had created.

It looks beautiful. It has overclocking features on the board - I will take some pictures soon.

I also got my 955 BE, 4GB of DDR3 and a 600W PSU. I'm at my brothers house ATM so I wont be able to built it until sunday... But i'm excited

A New competitor may well have entered the over-clocking battlefield!

wol-va-rine - I didnt take your post into consideration when I made the purchase, since you posted it after I left. While I agree with you that the sound may have been better, many people has said that it isnt that great....

the sound card well....... lets say nice try but get a creative or xonar. thats the only gripe with it i had the sound

Well, there's no saying you have to use them for graphics - IIRC you can put cards that use fewer lanes (pci-e x1, x4 etc.) cards in there and they'll work. You won't be using the full potential that way but they can still be useful for other purposes

yeah, who can afford SSDs these days, hopefully the prices will drop soon, also, I believe some of the ASUS sound cards are actually Creative X-Fi cards, maybe not the one you had linked though, either way, their sound cards are decent, they sell them separately on Newegg just like Xonar and Creative, and they're better than onboard, by how much...? who knows, not me...

either way, those are definitely two great boards to choose from so it's not like you made the "wrong" choice, good luck with it, and most importantly, enjoy your purchase...

also, just to clarify, my board name is wol-VA-rine, not because I can't spell, but because I am a die hard Michigan Wolverine fan living in Virginia (or VA for short), aren't I a clever bastard...?

again, I have no doubt that system is gonna be smokin' once you get your hands on it, congrats on the purchase...

I'm sorry! I hate it when people spell my name wrong. I have my hands on the parts - I collected them from Overclockers. It's just that my Case, Optical drive and HD are at home!
