Hi All,
Ok I found a good deal on a used e machines computer and the hard drive was missing, but however it started up and but read an intel hard disk error. So I bought a hard disk and installed it however now it gets stuck at the setup screen installing files. Do I need a motherboard or what?

You don't have a motherboard?

If you don't have a motherboard you need to buy a motherboard, probably a cpu and ram too.

Better off building a new pc...

If your experiencing an issue where its freezing up during the installation of windows.. it could be a number of things.

- Faulty CD
- Faulty CD drive
- Faulty IDE / SATA cable
- Faulty IDE / SATA port

Try cleaning the CD or burning a new one.. that is the easiest place to start. You could alternatively see if the CD works in a different computer, and that would isolate the issue to your own computer here.

Have you contacted the seller and asked if they knew of any issues?
