Depends on the game. For example, an FPS games, you can get by with 30FPS+, while for fighting games, they need to be 50FPS+ just to pull off the combos and such.
If it were up to me, I would keep it close to 60FPS.
 
yes but your missing the point of the question
the question is, will you see much of a difference if you have a graphics card in an x8 slot compared to an x16 slot

and what reviews did you see that were bad? the toxic beats the GTX 285 in most games, and in crossfire it can beat out the 295 at high resolutions, trust me, its far from crap

as far as the heat problem, Vapor X is an amazing cooler for a GPU, it runs alot cooler then those cards u listed aswell, plus if u get a good case with amazing cooling, it wolnt matter what heat it produces, you could put a blow torch in a antec 1200 and u wouldn't even see a temp change on ur proc
 
alrite well if its that good i'll think about getting it, only thing is they're not sellin it at newegg, do you know anywhere else i could get it?
