"FireFox messed up my computer"

What is with people saying "Firefox messed up my computer."
I have heard it from two of my friends so far. I don't understand it.. How does Firefox... mess up your computer?!
I'm thinking it's just PEBKAC.
Take note both people I heard it from where not computer people. Computers and them equal, ok moments until they get angry because it won't load a video, music, internet, and do cart wheels all at once.

I have never had a problem with FF..

I guess they just don't know any better.
I hear all kinds of random stuff from most of my friends, and only 2 of my friends are computer literate, one is Rube, and the other I am trying to get to join.

I have one friend who understands computer "talk" and knows the hardware, and he gets mad when people say to us that there computer crashed because they had opera or FF. My first response is always stop watching porn on there and get rid of limewire. They deny both and when i got here house they have porn on limewire.....

What i am trying to say is, FF and other browsers don't mes it up, it's all human error and misjudgment. They don't know what they downloaded could contain a virus. So they open it and bam. I've seen it a lot with my brother haha.

I use wyzo which is mozilla and is pretty much firefox, no problems with FF or any other browsers.

Where they talking about firefox 3.5 where there was some problem it had with windows, and it started loading really slow. Which is why firefox came out with firefox 3.5.1 so fast.

In general, it's not hardware or software that causes problems, it is the user. However, it's human nature to try to avoid blame for anything and so, naturally, they will deny that they clicked 'yes' on that random pop-up...
