should i connect my computer to a lcd/plasma tv via a DVI to HDMI cable?

or

should i just buy a 23 in lcd monitor?

which would have a better image?

i hear there are some problems regarding the 8800gtx and hdmi

Stick with the monitor. Televisions are fine for occasional browsing, but they're not really suited for daily use as your primary computer monitor.

I was going to get 2 22" inch lcd tv's, but i heard they arent that good for computer usage everyday. So i picked up 2 acer 19" screens $100 each. Totally worth it.

Yeah, but I would like to know why you said their not that good as a main screen, the more I learn, the better.

Because they're meant to be televisions? Most televisions are meant to be viewed from a distance. You don't want to be straining your neck to view a simple desktop.

I have a 50" plasma hooked up to my media PC, but it really isn't great as a monitor.
Go for the monitor if you can. TV's have much larger gaps between the pixels, generally lower resolution, and the colors are a bit different.
