I'm quite sure it's just a slit, like on most macs. You just slide the disk in, and when you inject it, half of it slides out. Would work amazingly well, make taking out the disk much easier.

If you have the money I'd go for something more creative and unique. This desk idea has obviously been taken, so invent something new!

If I had the time/money, I would build the computer inside my desk draw... dollar fiddy says that it would be cheaper than the desk idea!
