Recording Video games

What's the best free program to record video games? I used FRAPS, but it limits me to 30 sec, and kills my FPS from 60FPS to 30FPS.

Xfire made my FPS to 30FPS like FRAPS, but it did not slow down as much as FRAPS.

fraps is awesome... doesnt really kill my fps.. i have the full version so it doesnt limit me to only 30secs...

Nah, I'm good.
I think it wont kill my FPS as much if I had an Quad.

teh,, I'd wait until the quads got cheaper as they will. Besides, I wouldn't get a quad on that board. I heard that the XFX 680i LT get's squirly after 3GHz on the Q6 series Kentsfields.

I'm not planning to get an quad till my next build, which is whenever I saved up to $700.
I am having problems with the sound after recording through xfire, the volumes seems to have set to high and its like being blasted (kind of). I noticed it was the stereo mix, but I can't adjust that.
EDIT - Same goes with FRAPS.
