What happens in all those situations:

Dumbledore: "What is this shit?" Then he kills Gandalf.

Gandalf doesn't use most of his powers in the book, so there is a lot more that he could do, and his powers are only limited while he was Gandalf the Grey.
As Gandalf the White, he could kinda do whatever he wants, but he just doesn't like using magic.
