We7: Free Music Streaming

Yup. The licenses hold clips and actual songs as different things, you can have hundreds of thousands of clips for the same price as the license for just a few thousand full songs. It all depends on the region etc.

Spotify is another great service, that offers the same; free streaming of songs. It downloads as an application, and the stream is of a higher quality: OGG at q5 (160kbps). Better than MP3 at 192kpbs I assure you, like We7 offers. It seems to use a peer to peer network to give the streams at a fast enough pace.

Download it here. I only found it tonight:

Again, It's invite only in the US!

Rule Britannia!

Whoops...

Its weird, because the UK was the first to lose Pandora, and I loved that site, for licencing reasons, and yet, two new services have popped up that seem to be fully legal in the UK, but just with advertising to support it.

I much prefer Spotify to We7 though at the moment, but I searched for one album that isn't on Spotify, but is on We7, and then there are albums on Spotify, that aren't on We7.

Listening to Poets Of The Fall at the moment.

If its invite only, I'll have to look into that. Maybe some lucky users can get an invite :p

There seems to be quite a few popping up...

Plus David, it's Kage, not Cage :p

Imeem for me is locked at 30 seconds it seems for quite a lot of content that is full on the other two.
