Unable to delete files

I am trying to delete 3 files from my desktop but whenevver I do, I get the following error:

Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk.

I have tried to use KillBox to delete them as well and I get the following error:

This file does not seem to exist.

Any ideas on a way to get rid of these 3 files? I have checked and they are not locked or anything to indicate that they shouldn't be allowed to be deleted. Also these are not system files or anything else. They are simply torrent files for a podcast I listen to. I have checked and they are not being used my torrent application nor are then actual files they were used to download are on my system anymore.

Edit your posts! Why did you make a new thread with the same question?

Im sorry, I think I hit submit 2 times. I hit submit and then stopped it and added to the post thinking it wouldn't have gone through with posting it. Any way I can delete that other one?

A mod will take care of it, don't worry.

File type?
Have you tried using a program called unlocker?
