I'll be honest when I say there are probably better speakers out there for the price I paid. I never bought these intending to create a sound system. I just saw one at a theme park and wondered how they would sound in a home environment.

Let me elaborate on this quote. You're supposed to create a soundstage by spacing the speakers apart equidistant from your listening position. Positioning them together like that destroys stereo imaging. You're also not supposed to place them that high, but at ear level.

If you know anything about speakers, you'll notice how these are limited in terms of frequency bandwidth. That's all sacrificed for durability. So if you're ever looking for some nice outdoor speakers, take a look at these. It just so happens I use these at home.

In that case, I did it properly! Go me! ;).

I could not PERSONALLY justify spending that much on audio equipment... But i guess that's because I don't have a "real" income.
