I need help changing my current computer build

sure you can. I built a computer before, It kind of died after a year not sure why still. ha. Honestly, I doubt it is much more expensive than buying the products from newegg.

It truly is more expensive than buying the components from newegg. They charge an insane amount for labor.

You can build a computer that will easily out-bench the one that you have listed for half the price. With some slight overclocking you could have a computer that is much faster as well.

You will be saving money and gaining performance by building your own computer. On top of it all, you will have the benefit of knowing that the rig you are using was hand-built.

ok, so build me one with an i7 processor. starting with a asus pt6 deluxe v2 motherboard and a HAF 932 full tower.

I changed some stuff around. The EVGA mobo is a much better board for about the same price.

The Antec 1200 is hailed as the best full-tower case out ATM. You can feel free to buy the HAF 932, it is also a fine case.

The rig that I have listed below is optimized for excellent performance, great overclockability and is excellent bang for its buck.

Not sure what you are talking about with the RAM. 1600MHz is the speed to have right now. It scales well with raised FSBs of the i7. When you have more money, simply add a few more sticks of ram. It is a bad idea to save money by downsizing on speed. 1333MHz ram is quickly becoming dated.

The EVGA mobo is much better for overclocking. Most enthusiasts stick faithfully to EVGA motherboards. They have a great reputation, their RMA service is wonderful and they make high quality products.

The optical drive... I'm pretty sure you can make that decision on your own. Same with your OS.

You don't need an after-market cooler if you aren't planing on doing very serious overclocking. If you are, then there is a plethora of them.
