thats what one would think? Idk, eh Ill have to ponder it, Im spose to go today, i was trying to sell my PS3 to make up the difference, so really no cash would change hands, but no one wanted to buy it so it seems like I'm going to be gypped and I have to trade it in.

Couldnt you check the date of the console? I think its near the serial number. People told me to check there, and if it was after Feb 2008 or something, its guaranteed to be an falcon, another way to tell is the power brick (and HDMI?), but you can only check that after you bought it.
I dont think I found the date on my console though, the sales rep just told me it was the falcon, and I was "okay..." Got home, and check the power brick, and it was the falcon.
Isnt the new one eagle or something? or is it jasper?
Edit - it seems like Jasper is the newer one, but the game of the year bundle should be the Falcon.
