Hi,
Since my Windows 7 Beta was running short of time, I decided to install Windows 7 RC. However, this caused my motherboard to not detect my hard drives anymore.

1. Burned Windows 7 RC to DVD-R

2. Restarted Computer to start installation.

3. 1st Restart, Computer is stuck at POST. Hangs after Detecting SATA hard drive.

4. Tried with a IDE hard drive, but no luck. Encounters error at Starting System services.
a. Restart to try again.
b. Failure to detect IDE drive now.

I was able to install Windows 7 RC with the disk on Virtual PC, if that helps.

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

UPDATE: Updated Bios, disabled Serial and Parallel Port which then fixed IDE, no hope on SATA

Have you tried installing from a jump drive instead of DVD? (I'm just thinking that maybe the DVD media could have some issues. Either that or you could see if your iso is corrupt without wasting DVDs).

The iso and dvd is fine. I used both to install Windows 7 in Virtual PC.
