Yeah, apparently its a pretty common mistake.

I went through the bios setup. But now I get an error that says "disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter"

I tried putting Windows 7 on. I also tried Linux ubuntu. Same message.

Im trying to boot from the cd to load the os to the new drive.

What burning method did you use?

the PC im on now and used has Nero.

Ubuntu fits on a CD-R.

Windows only fits on a DVD-R.

Unless the ISO didnt mount right...ill try again..

I use poweriso.
A good freeware is Active@ ISO burner.
