but decided to buy a new lap top instead! I just want to do basic stuff like music, office documents, surf the net and of course play microsoft flight simulator, fs2004 and fsx...

is this asus lap top good?
yes, under $900 is my price range
nope, I have no use for a desktop, Im a pilot, Im always on the road or should I say the air
I make sceneries, airplanes and airports for this game when ever I have time but I need a good laptop

what others do you guys recomend in this price range? Im buying one very very soon! please help

That should be a very good performing laptop. It has a good amount of memory, a fast CPU, and one of the best graphics chips available for a laptop.

the second one even still uses ddr2 ram for graphics memory

The first Asus G50Vt-X5 from Best Buy is better than the last one posted. The NV GT 120M from the second link performs on par with the 9600 M GT.

wow weird! and I was already thinking it was better because of the 1g vid card and 2.4 pros.
