Idea of final computer design for the build of my first computer

Alright guys thank you very much for the two guys who have helped me in my old forum a ton i owe you guys. Here is my new thread and i want to know what people think about this final set-up. Now for all of you who dont know I am in college in engineering and i want to create a very good engineering computer. So look and tell me what you guys think. Also if you guys think that I can go a little cheaper and dont need as much power please post in here and we can see if we can ease it up. However here is the final set up tell me what you guys think.

I would go with an i7 for anything engineering. They are 50% faster clock for clock in most intensive applications.
 
A Core i7 CPU and motherboard combo will also cost $200 more than the AMD setup. You will also have to figure in the extra cost of a comparable amount of DDR3 memory.
 
ok ill look into that then its getting expensive to me so is there anything you guys would reccomend with this core i7 and motherboard n new ddr3?
