Hi, I've got an old pc I'd like to upgrade, but I'm not sure what cpu I should get for it. It's got a Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe AM2 Motherboard so I've been looking at the lower end phenoms, but I'm scared that the motherboard wont support them. I've been looking at the cpu support list but the serial number of the cpu never matches up so I'm confused. Can you guys help me pick out a good supported cpu thats not too expensive?

What you will need to do is to BIOS flash your motherboard, in other words, updating the BIOS.

Download the latest BIOS from here: http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=0jMy2X8lKstYRvev&templete=2

And update from a flash drive using ASUS EZ Flash utility inside the BIOS.

Looking at the CPU support list, it seems your motherboard supports every one of the 65nm Phenoms, just not the 45nms (Phenom II line). IMO, the best value Phenom right now is the 9600 for $90.

I just updated my BIOS to the latest version and now my computer just keeps restarting when trying to boot windows. What should I do?

Keeps restarting just as you turn it on or restarting when it loads Windows?
