I'm gonna try to design and put together a portable beer pong table, something like this:
But a lot simpler, and made out of wood. (maybe covered with rubber or cloth or something, not sure yet) Buying something like that is at least $70, so I think I can put something together for cheaper.
Anyway, what is a good, easy to use CAD program that I can use to design this? I basically just need something where I can use hinges. Is Google Sketchup enough for this? Or should I use something more powerful like Autodesk Inventor? Suggestions would be great.
Design suggestions also welcome. I'm thinking of just getting a 3 by 8 sheet of plywood, about an inch thick (I want to balance weight with durability here) cut it down the middle and put in some hinges. Then I'll need some creativity for folding legs. And just a little clasp and some handles to fold it up.
Mods please move this if you think it's better suited for the Social Lounge, I wasn't sure.
