Wont boot after RAM Upgrade

Well i previously had 2x1gb Corsair XMS2 PC2-6400 Ram Sticks in there. so i bought another set of the same ram, and tried to put it in. A few times it would just freeze at the mobo splash screen, it never made it past that. Now when i try to boot i just get a black screen. Ive tried going back to just the old ram, then tried just the new ram. Then i cleared the CMOS and tried both again, and still just no video response at all. Any suggestions?

Bad stick? did you try one stick at a time? try taking them back for another set and see what happens

can i try one stick at a time if it is Dual Channel?

Yes. They will run just fine one stick at a time.

ok one stick was bad. Do i send it back to Newegg or Corsair? and i can just send in one of the sticks and leave the other in the computer right

Either Corsair or Newegg will work. If they were purchased as a kit, you would probably have to send both back to Newegg for exchange with a new kit. Try contacting Newegg customer service to find out how to handle it.
