I am stumped, weird problems

So heres my story:

Computer was really really slow, so i backed up my documents and formatted.
After a fresh install, i installed a couple of my old programs and copied my documents over. Everything was fine for a day or two, now my computer has randomly begun to restart, and ill randomly get a BSOD. I have installed no new hardware, and am currently running XP SP3

anyone got any ideas?

That's interesting...

I would suggest doing two things. Resetting settings by removing the CMOS battery and power cord for two minutes.

If no luck, then I would try reformatting it once again.

IF you still get a bsod I would copy down the error code(s) and post them here.
 
just got an error
it said windows has recovered from a serious error

and then
