i bought a dell inspiron 1525 with 2 gigs ram and a intel celeron cpu. It wasnt fast enough so i put 4 gigs of memory in it that i took out of dell studio 17, and i put a Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T7250 (2M Cache, 2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) in that i took out of my old sony vaio, My question is if continue to do upgrades such as this to my computer (since the motherboard only came with a celeron) will putting more components in damage my computer somehow?

If it's a laptop it could overheat.
If it's not, it will be fine.

You need to check the mobo specs and see if it will support the amount of memory and the cpu you have. Also, make sure your psu is sufficient for the amount of extra wattage you will incur.
