Win Update help

I am useing Enternet Explorer 8. and under Tools Tab it has a Tab that says WINDOWS UPDATE.

Is this going to Update Windows or just Internet Explorer??

I have win xp pro.

how do I pull up past posts on this fourm??

Using Windows Update under the tools tab will update Windows, which may include some Internet Explorer updates.
