So, I recently bought a 500 Gigabyte Seagate hard drive to use on my Playstation 3 which is running out of memory. So, I hook it up to my computer to format it using the Command Prompt. Now, after about 7 to 8 hours of formatting, it is finally finished. I check it and it says The drive volume is too big for FAT32. So, I google that, I go to multitudes of websites, many say to use a program called SwissKnife. I use it. Install it on my laptop, it doesn't work. Though I think that may be because I am using Vista. So I install it on the family computer, which run XP. I install it, and use it. I go to select my External hard drive(which is labeled Drive F: ), and the program completely shuts down. I have tried every thing I can think of and yet still nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
