How does a 250 GTS beat a GTX 260? An 8800GTX gets beat by a 3870?

It depends on everything like any other benchmarks, The person can either have an overall better rig, or that they could've OC'ed their rig, along with OS, back ground applications, etc, etc.

I just prefer to use stuff that is more "mainstream." SuperPi, Vantage, Cinebench, etc...

I don't really find it that effective. With one card, I roughly got 5,000 on 1 minute. With two I get less than 4,000.

Better OpenGL performance. Furmark is an OpenGL benchmark.

^^^^ - That simply can't be right, I don't care if he had a I7 965/75 and a X58 Classified with dual GX2's. That score is completely through the roof.

He has a Phenom II 940 with one GPU. It's a dual card, remember?

That makes no difference - 614,000 marks? dual 216's and a I7 920 kick the hell out of a PII 940 with a 9800Gx2

Nah i believe that is 2 9800 gx2's

the Nvidia drivers make furmark only recognize it as one card. look at Techs benches and it only registers as one card as well. Im still not understanding how that setup is putting up those numbers though

There's another ridiculous bench - Rohan has DUAL 260 core 216's and this guy has regular 260('s).

EDIT: and Tech got 25,4 with a 295!
