Amd Phenom X4 Deneb 3.0 Gh overclocking

as long as you take small steps and test after every step you won't really damage anything. Well as long as you stay within the safe limits of the chip. Most of the time you will find that something else is limiting you pushing the chip over what it is rated at. For instance you might hit a heat barrier before a voltage barrier a lot of the time. There is a lot of guides on safe overclocking just type in AMD 940 overclocking in google and im sure you will find TONS of stuff on it.

What do you have for a heatsink?
To check temps I use Coretemps but there is other good ones out there such as everest, HW monitor.
To check stability Prime95.
To Check RAM stability Memtest86+
