Do I need to upgrade my computer?

Worshipme,

Yes it is the fastest but people are having trouble with the drivers it comes with and most of the time the system does not even recognize the video card is what ive been reading.

I just want a simple plug and play video card that doesn't require me to do to much. I do want the best card out there but not the 3850 unless someone who has this on his system can tell me that it worked fine for them or what they did to solve the problem.

Thanks to all for the imput and keep giving me the good advice. Id like to order one this weekend so ill continue the research till then.

The HD 3850 AGP has been supported by every Catalyst update since it's release. I'm using the same drivers for my card and it works perfectly. Not a single driver problem in any game so far.

Every graphics card you buy is going to need the same amount of work to get going. (Which isn't a lot, install the drivers is all you need to do.)

$100 for an agp card?? why doesnt he just do a different build
