Need a 1366 heatsink

The i7s run hot whatever you do. You've got another 10c headroom but if you really want a better air cooler then a lapped TRUE is probably about as good as you're going to get. Make sure you get a good high RPM fan to go with it.

Ya, I also need a 1366 socket heat sink.... And would the Lapped TRUE fit in a
vertical tower, and will it eventually warp the board under its weight?

That is the purpose of the back plate, the motherboard will no warp with the backplate properly installed.

They still have them in stock, sweet. These actually do perform better than the original TRUE, but they are very heavy and obviously very expensive.

Yeah, IMO, they aren't worth the hefty price tag for a couple of degrees in difference. I'm going to get better thermal paste. That maybe my issue. I ran out of MX-2 and have been using this Dynex paste. It was the closest thing to me to get my old rig running the quickest.
