Looking at it from another angle. The only thing I've had to do with any unmanaged switch if there is a problem is unplug it from power and plug it back in. There is one exception to that, the power cube that died for my switch at home.
The worst problem that I've seen, once the power dropped out at work just for a split second and all of the switches needed to be powered down and back up again to reset them. If the power goes out completely then comes back on they don't usually have a problem. But, apparently if they get a quick drop out of power, not long enough to reset them, it seems to glitch them.
If the switch is mission critical use a UPS and it should be trouble free.
