Hey guys :)

I want to buy a laptop for 850$ max, mainly for normal use but also one that would play games (call of duty 4 mainly)

I was looking at this one -> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834114650
is that a good laptop? would cod4 be playable?

I have also been recommended these two -> http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9050279&type=product&id=1218012519873 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152108

Can you tell me which of these is the best buy? Is there any other ones you guys recommend?

Asus isnt for gameing
Unless you buy a netbook and turn it into a gameing laptop..
get the MSI.
Its alot better..
and plus you can upgrade hardware and stuff in the future
But you are going to need to overclock your LAPTOP.
and the graphics card too
Aleinware/Dell/Lenevo/IBM Series are the Best.

Asus is more for School..

Hope you found this helpfull.

I would suggest either the Asus from Bestbutt or the MSI from Newegg. They both have very nice processors, 4GB of memory, and excellent video graphics.

I believe the Asus would be the best performing of the two as it has an Nvidia 9800 GS and a slightly faster CPU. They should be able to run COD4 at medium settings.

I aggre with Atomic Rooster (By 50%)
Buy the MSI its the Best one you will find.
Actualy i am looking into buying it now :S

The ASUS and the MSI both are great laptops. I would go with the ASUS as the graphics are a little better, but the MSI is great if you want to stick with your budget. I do not recommend the Toshiba. I have had bad experiences with our Toshiba stuff at home. The Toshiba in my sig overheats after playing games for 20 minutes or so.

You don't know what the hell you're talking about, do you? ASUS is one of the top manufacturers in the gaming world. I would go for that ASUS. The 9800 is more powerful with twice the bus (256 vs 128 and twice the shader processors (64 vs 32).

"ASUS is one of the top manufacturers in the gaming world"

Challenging me are you?

Asus IS NOT one of the TOP manufactures in the Gameing World.

I am going to Bring Screen-Shots and evidence of how "HORRBILE" Asus is.

Provide "me" with evidence and then fine.

No Evidence... LOL...

My TOP list is
-Alienware
-Dell
-IBM (New Series)
-Lenevo
-MSI
-Asus.
