And just a final attempt to save a few dollars, would this motherboard, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128388, preform much different than the P43?

the components are just harder to put in because of the smaller size... i.e. less pciex16 2.0 slots (no sli/crossfire) slower bus speeds, etc etc..... they just generally are not as good for higher performance systems

How about operating systems? I don't want to buy a new one if I dont have to... Will I be able to reuse an xp or vista disc from older computers?

You could use XP or Vista as long as they are completely uninstalled from the previous computers.

You could also install the Windows 7 beta. It's license key is good for a year which would give you plenty of time to save up for a new OS.
