I want a rifle for self defense, target practice, and deer/ elk hunting. I'm still deciding on a caliber though and what to get. Any good brands you guys like? Favorite Caliber?

for ANY large game, I'd go with a (remington) 7mm Magnum. its basicly a sniper rifle with a good scope, outshoots an ought 6, more accurate, and it makes nice holes in things

do you know how to use a gun? clean it? store it? ect ect?
ur not even old enough to have one in your name if ur under 18, and in most places you need to be 21 to have a handgun.
were do you live if i may ask?
There is no use for a gun in self defence, seriously.
if that person wants you dead, then they'll get you, its not like a show down at the OK corral.
