I only go ford for she sheer number of fanboys I know that could help me with any problems I could have.

Why would you ever have problems with a ford?

Actually, the only cars I'd buy that are "american" are full size pickups and SUVS, everything else I'd probably get a toyota.

Did I mention I hate GM? Only bad part will be that ford will have a monopoly over full size trucks. When it comes to compacts (1/4 ton) the Tacoma will always be the best though.

And the only good thing that Dodge ever did was outsource its engines.

Hell no!! Ranger is the best. I don't like Tacomas much. The old Toyota trucks were good. But the Tundra and Tacoma... they don't hold up to those older ones, IMO. Toyota did so well when they first started in America because they were different. Not cause they were really better, just a new option, people were tired of what they had, wanted more options. Ranger was #1 pickup for quite a while, I think they are 2nd or 3rd now though.
