OK so my friend wants a new PC, he already has a case and fans, but he needs everything else.

And for monitor, last but not least, http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...etail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-5629

And my friend is being a n00b and wants this PSU, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182009 but I'm telling him that he is a n00b, and that the Corsair that I am reccomending is better because it has more Amps on the 12v rail. The n00b Rosewill he wants, while it says 500W (and he has a boner for it saying 500W as compared to 400W on the Corsair, he is a typical n00b) it is just the 100W increase you get from throwing more amps on the 3.3 and 5v rail that are already good enough.

So will this PC run fine? Are all of the parts compatible? And should I go with the Corsair or the Rosewill?

Thanks

ehh. I'm certainly no fan of AMD or ATI because they are basically the same company; but it looks compatible as far as I can tell; I would suggest some real thermal compound. (not the crap most manufacturers send with their products)

The thermal paste that comes on the Arctic Cooling coolers works just fine. No need to waste a few bucks on something that really doesn't work any better.

>.> I've just learned from previous experience. but If it comes with Artic Silver or something of the same brand I would certainly trust it.

Ya the thermal paste is decent. I used to use it before I got my new CPU and went with Tuniq TX-2, but it is decent pre applied paste.
