PS3 HDD Failure

My PS3 will not log in properly. First I turn it on. Then it says the HDD data is corrupted and needs to restore. I let it restore. It restarts. Log in screen pops up. I try to log in. None of the accounts will work. They freeze partway through the log in process. If the log in goes through, it will not load any of the screens...it will freeze. When I turn it off and proceed to turn it on again, I get the restore screen. If I don't do anything after restoring, but just turn the PS3 off, it turns on without the restore screen. However, if I try to log in, it freezes. Then next time, I get the restore screen. I've taken out the HDD, airdusted everything, and re-seated it. Problem is still going. Do I need a new HDD?

My brother told me he found a fix for it online. I still want answers in this thread to see what my possibilities are. Where's AbsynthHaze!
