How old is the monitor by the way? and is it bright? I take it the picture takes away from its true quality?

It's not too old, I've had it for a little over 4 months. Yes, it's bright and very sharp with a res. of 1680x1050.

well...i've heard a lot of great things about Dell monitors...so i am hoping this one will surprise me as well. Heck...it was a deal i couldn't pass up...now i'll be able to run dual monitors...yay
