Better for furture?

Which would be better for the future, the Q6600 or the X4 940? For O'Cing and gaming...

I'd say the Phenom II 940 on the AM3 socket would be more future-proof. LGA 775 has been around quite a while, and Intel seems to be wanting to move in with i5 and i7.
