MP3 Player

Since I do a lot of hiking/camping/biking trips every year I need replaceable batteries so all of the Ipod looking MP3 players wont work since they only hold a charge for max of 20 hours (I spend 1-2 weeks at a time out there)

I found this
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1238711608&sr=1-28

Not impressive on its own but once I add this (buying 2 to finish the coupon off)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t..._shr?_encoding=UTF8&m=A2BYVMH7NSQ63F&v=glance

It turns into a 8gb player with a swappable 8GB. More music then I need for a week easily. Since I currently only use a 1GB stick (but always love more room for random play lists)

My only question is has anyone used this or something like it and how well does it work? Do the SD cards last long or they die fast? They slow or fast on loading music?

I never used one before I have a about a 5 year old 1GB Iriver just looking for a replacement since it is on its way to dying now.

Thanks.

SD cards will last a very long time. That particular card is a class 2 card (2 MB/s) so it's not blazing fast and will take a bit of time to load your songs onto, but it should do well with audio playback.

I've never used that particular MP3 player, but it seems to get decent reviews.

yeah but one thing I have learned over the years unless there are 100+ reviews always ask around :)

Yeah I was reading more into that today and I think since I am use to a low amount of memory and being its SD it can be swapped I might just get the 4GB class 6 version that is the same price.

That is 9 times more space so I doubt I can fill it all up with songs.

Thanks for your feedback Atmoic it is very much appreciated....I will be buying in a week or so but I will make sure to leave some comments on it once I get it.

BTW I found out there was a MP3 player called I.Beat Blaxx....say that out loud a few times. I guess in Germany to English they should have changed the name.

Thanks again :)

Sansa Fuze 4GB, even has an SD card slot... I got my songs compressed at 128KBps so I got 6 GB worth of music on mine.
