Strange HDD Enclosure Issue

One of my mates is having an issue with his External hardrive enclosure(Ritmo USB/LAN Enclosure).It will work on his backup PC but it wont work on his everyday computer,it just says 'problem occured'.


Also bot computers are running XP Pro Sp2.

Any ideas?

You might have to re-format it after you save your data.

Well He has tried both a 750gb SATA Drive and a 60gb IDE Drive

Has he tried a different usb port? Is he going through any usb hubs if so sometimes they can screw up certain things.

He has tried different USB Ports and he's not going through a hub.

He's gonna buy another enclosure today to see if that fixes the problem.
