Can't get AOL to load -- help!!!

We have just bought a new laptop. We want to put AOL on and make it wireless enabled. Problem is, when we put the disc in the driver, it says 'please wait' temporarily and then loads. However, following this it then stops loading. When you close the window it says 'programme not responding'. This is strange, since it worked earlier.

Why would this be? It is vital that we get this working soon. The disc has worked fine in the past, and was fine just this afternoon in fact. Is there any other way of doing this, or an explanation for why the disc might not be working. How do we fix this?

It also enlarges the screen quality everytime we load the disc. The computer is HP and it's windows vista. We have a Thomson 585 router.

Any ideas?

Is the AOL disk going to work with Vista? Also, why use AOL on your computer when you could use your own web browser, hook up Outlook do download your emails for you, export your favorites, and avoid all the software issues it causes?

Maybe they are on the AOL service?

Its worth checking if it supports Vista though... You may have to find AOL and download new drivers.

The way AOL is set up now all you have to have is a broadband connection and a browser.
Just go to www.aol.com and log in.

Try running the disc in Windows XP compatibility mode.
