Reasons I Need A Car

It is a safety net because of the improved traction. If you drive the same way with AWD and FWD, where you may have slipped with FWD, AWD may not slip.

Your diving in snow should be able to work for any vehicle. The only time the AWD helps is under acceleration, and to be honest, if two wheels can't get me going its not safe to drive in ANY car. If you drive in a way that the AWD is necessary then you have severe flaws in your driving. Unless you regularay drive up steep icy hills you need nothing more than FWD. Many Americans buy wayyy more car than they need. Don't be a stupid American.

I want a nice new Volvo for a first car, but geeze, I'm only getting a stupid minivan. Oh boo hoo.

Really there is NO reason that you NEED an AWD car. Get the FWD cheapo car and some lessons. Those are more of a safety net than any car could provide.

And we aren't attacking you to attack you. You are being ignorant to what we are saying, and that ignorace is why insurance for young males is so high. Because they think their sweet new AWD subaru can handle better than anything else in the snow and they end up wrapped around a tree being cut out by the jaws of life.
