@Root:
I know where your coming from but no system is perfect, never will be perfect. While improvements helps alleviate certain problems, others are created. Think of how far ahead Forensic science will be in 20 years, it will make the stuff today look bad. Much like the stuff that is used today makes things 20 years ago look bad. It's gonna be a never ending cycle.
I am for the death penalty, while I personally would rather die than spend my life in prison. I have family members who are correctional officers at federal prisons, they work around some bad dudes. What they've told me is that a lot of convicted murderers don't give a damn weather they live or die. And a lot of them can make a damn good living in prison, better than some people on the outside who make a honest living.
I suppose I feel when there is no doubt in the juror's, judges minds that a person is guilty, and all the forensic evidence points to them then I feel they should be killed as quickly as the law allows.
