computer: Gateway GT4024, Windows XP
problem: cannot connect to the internet due to some kind of hardware conflict
under network devices in device manager on one of my computers, it says:
Direct Parallel
Netgear Ethernet adapter (my network card)
Netgear ethernet adapter packet scheduler miniport
WAN miniport (IP)
WAN miniport (IP) Packet scheduler miniport
WAN miniport (L2TP)
WAN miniport (PPPOE)
WAN miniport (PPTP)
all of which have exclamation marks next to them.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my network drivers, I've tried uninstalling the WAN miniports to see if they were what caused the problem but it says they may be needed to boot the computer. (this is all in safe mode btw)
