Some advice on upgrading?

Oh I see what you are saying. We both agree on adding ram but wouldn't you agree that if you are getting a new cpu it might as well be a quad core one. They are more future proof, they juggle tasks better, and they run games a little better. Also they aren't that much more expensive.

As of now, I think duo's are able to run games better
That will change though..

C2D and Quad Core, The C2D's are nipping at the Quad Cores, So they're wouldnt be much of a difference unless you buy a extremely high end Quad Core. But Hengyu, Another 2GB Of RAM, And http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4488065&CatId=2406 that Mobo / CPU would be a good board. Would be able to rip through that Empire total war game xD But your going to need to replace your current 2G of Ram with 2x2 GB Sticks.

Maybe offering a link to an iffy motherboard and a mid-range CPU from a Canada-based store isn't the best idea?

To the OP: I'd update your motherboard to an EVGA 780i:

Beautiful mobo with great overclocking potential. I have built around six rigs based on this motherboard and have always been 100% satisfied.

For your processor, you have a choice to make. If you are going to overclock, no need to get the absolute top of the line as you can easily reach those speeds with a slight OC. I recommend picking up an E8400 Wolfdale (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037) and overclocking it to your desire. It is a great processor.
