Thats a nice comp but the case is horrible. I advise the Antec 900 which is a little bigger and it has 3 120mm fans vs. the 2 120mm fans on the case you selected. That case is about 100 bucks. It's well worth it trust me.
 
yea, i was deciding between that and this build also for FSX, its AMD though...its only $15 difference, it this worth it?

Even though its AMD which I don't particularly like the second build is better just because it has a nicer case and a quad core processor.
 
I'd assume FSX uses a lot of CPU power since there are so many factors in the program that are always changing and that need to be taken into account. Graphically, the two perform the same since it's the same video card, but in terms of processing power, build 2 is far more powerful since it is a quad-core and has great overclocking potential.
 
FSX is not that demanding. Your computer will be able to run that game at over 300 fps on max I would bet. I can run that game on max with 512 mb of ram and I average 112 fps. Build 2 is better than build 1.
 
What is FSX? Is it a game or a rendering tool or something? Either way build 2 is better than build 1.

AS5 and Arctic Cooling MX-2 are thermal compounds. MX-2 is better performing for the same price, so it makes sense to go with it.
